Description of the Programme
The Bachelor of Music degree prgramme is particularly suited for musically talented students with interest and desire to pursue a career in music. The programme is designed to provide an innovative approach to the study of music in both local and global contexts. You will explore contemporary issues and trends through a combination of academic work, practical and project-based study. You will learn about global music cultures, key music technologies, music business, practice popular music scenes as well as live music performance. Besides the specifics of the music industries, you will also investigate broader historical, social and cultural perspectives by undertaking a series of contextual courses.You will enhance your understanding of the musical arts by receiving an extensive instruction in music composition, theory, ensemble performance, literature and music history. In addition, you will gain research and analytical capabilities, rigorous practical and theoretical musical training, creative thinking skills as well as written and verbal communication skills.
