Description of the Programme
The 21st Century world is moving faster and faster with the rapid development of Information and Communication Technology. Today’s academic systems have been gradually replacing traditional educational activities. Bachelor of Education (ICT) is intended to prepare ICT teachers and technologists for secondary schools and other tertiary institutions in both the private and public sector. To fulfil the gaps of modern educational practices, this degree programme has been designed to provide students with a broad education in computer science and information technology concepts including programming, algorithms, hardware concept, database, management information system, data structures, computer graphics, cyber law, artificial intelligence, web programming and other ICT allied areas. Students will learn theory as well as engage in the practical tools and techniques used in the development of computer systems and software. Students who go through the programme can also become trainers in tertiary institutions as well as institutions of higher learning. They can also work in the ICT industry.
