Description of the Programme

The Bachelor of Technology in Food Science and Technology degree programme is aimed at producing food technologists skilled in the application of science and technologies in the production of various food products. Depending on their area of specialization, Food Technologists may develop ways to process, preserve, package, or store food, according to industry or government specifications and regulations. Students cover subjects such as process engineering, food and packaging engineering, food formulation technology, industrial research techniques, and food assessment techniques among other subjects.
