Description of the Programme
Land is at the centre of a country’s development. A healthy land administration system means secure land tenure and efficient land markets and land development. In the process, it contributes to developing and supporting local economies as well as reducing poverty and helping to avoid related disputes. Consequently, the Bachelor of Science in Land Administration is designed to produce graduates who are competent and knowledgeable in land matters to manage the challenges of the land administration system in the 21st century. The programme is intended to make land administration one of the professions that will enhance the land delivery system in Kenya. The syllabus has been designed to include subjects ranging from law, policy, planning, economics, surveying, valuation and land development as well as subjects on technical matters such as land information systems including Geographic Information System (GIS). You will gain the requisite knowledge and skills you need to design and apply responsible land administration solutions to address real-life challenges.
