The Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science degree course prepares students for professional and specialist work in the discipline of forensic science i.e. the application of scientific principles and procedures to the law. The programme builds a solid foundation in crime scene processing, forensic photography, toxicology, human pathology, serology, human anatomy and physiology, genetics, physical evidence, fingerprint enhancement and analysis, instrumental analysis, toxicology, body fluid and DNA analysis, forensic entomology, forensic soil analysis, forensic odontology, hair and fiber analysis, bloodstain pattern analysis, footwear impressions, firearms examination and ballistics, and tool mark examination among others.
