Description of the Programme
The programme is designed to equip the trainees with relevant knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to work in agricultural establishments and related industries. The course aims to impart competences required to safely operate and effectively supervise a sustainable agricultural production process and enhance rural development. Students will cover topics like live stock and poultry production, pasture and crop production, weed management, green house technology, seed production technology, post-harvest technology, plant biotechnology, farm management, agricultural extension, plant pathology, agricultural meteorology, agricultural economics as well as sales and marketing strategies among others. The course also covers the high-tech solutions being used to ensure profitability and sustainability in agri-businesses today.
