Description of the Programme
Bachelor of Arts (English and Communication) degree programme is designed to produce highly trained communication experts and it covers both Language and Communication. The programme aims to provide students with a strong foundation in English language along with a critical understanding of contemporary media, while gaining expertise in how to communicate effectively in a variety of professional settings. Students will acquire the requisite knowledge and skills needed in the application of the language and communication to various situations. You will understand how to package content for public relations, advertising, social media and interactive marketing; learn important dynamics for interpersonal, organization, public and mass communication, and the value of effective listening in order to communicate better; and study principles of ethical debating and conflict resolution. Graduates will be well equipped for positions where effective communication is required or for further studies in public relations, journalism, applied linguistics, interpretation and translation, the arts, and other fields.
