Bachelor of Arts (Literature) is designed to foster your passion and develop your skills in forming critical arguments, conducting research, and documenting evidence. You will examine both the great texts and innovative and contemporary works of poetry, prose, drama, film, new media and critical essays while sharpening your skills in analysis, writing, research, critical thinking and develop indispensable high-level communication and rhetorical skills. Students will develop a cultural vocabulary that examines the human condition through history, philosophy and many literary modes from tragedy to satire. In a curriculum that stretches through time and spans the globe, you will study texts ranging from Old and Middle English to contemporary post-colonial voices from around the world. You will also study literary theories and different models of interpretation. After graduation, you will leave with the knowledge and skills for any career that values critical thinking and superior communication skills.
