Description of the Programme
Public Relations is emerging as one of the key growth fields in contemporary communication industries. With public relations professionals now far outnumbering journalists, the field offers a wide range of national and international employment opportunities for graduates. Students will develop practical media, practical and professional skills that prepare them for positions in public relations, advertising, marketing, communications and management in the corporate, government and not-for-profit sectors. They will gain professional skills in writing techniques, media and stakeholder management as well as a thorough, practical grounding in public relations and its role in social and corporate responsibility. They will acquire high-level oral, written communications and presentation skills. You will learn how to help organisations to communicate in persuasive and ethical ways with their staff, customers, regulators, communities, investors, and society. The internship programme is an important part of the course and it allows students to gain valuable industry experience and a chance to establish professional connections.
