Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Telecommunication Engineering) is designed to equip students with a strong foundation of electrical engineering concepts as well as the knowledge and skills required in the telecommunication sector in line with the growing importance of digital and wireless networks. With the advancement of digital communication and rapid growth in information technology and the telecommunication sector, a new industrial base has sprung up which requires engineers with more specialized skills in this area. Keeping in mind the demand of this evolving industry, the degree includes the latest digital technologies as well as traditional communication techniques. This program covers vast areas such as signal and image processing, optical fiber and mobile communications, data networks, software systems, microelectronic devices & systems, data encoding, compression, encryption & transmission, electric machines, antenna & radio wave propagation and real-time embedded systems. Graduates will be able to design, implement and manage communication and information systems. Besides the technical areas, students are also offered courses in communication skills, engineering management and economics in order to be able to design and implement cost-effective engineering solutions and to prepare them for challenging environments & competitive job markets.
