People are the most valuable resource in any organization. In this course, students will specialize in human resource management and the role it plays within a business organization. You will learn how to manage and develop employees, the professional skills required in the industry and how to recruit and inspire staff from a Human Resource perspective. HRM examines specific people management practices such as recruitment and selection, human resource planning, organisational behaviour, employee relations, management of change, performance management, training and development, employment agreements, promotions, rewards and recognition, professional ethics, workplace health and safety, negotiation and conflict resolution among others, all of which will give you valuable skills as an employee in any given industry. The course provides students with the key business knowledge to understand how today’s dynamic business environment operates by combining contemporary theory with real-world application and it has been developed in close association with employers and professional bodies in order to ensure its relevance for today’s jobs market.
