Are you interested in animals and plants and how they work? Want to get a better understanding of evolution and genetics? Fascinated by ecosystems and environments? Then biology might be the career path for you. You will gain an in-depth understanding of biology at many different levels – from the molecular biology of the cell, through how animals and plants function like organisms, to their ecological interactions with each other and the environment. The programme is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of genetics, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, physiology, ecology and behaviour of plants, animals and microorganisms. Specific areas of study include zoology, ecology, molecular biology, cellular biology, biotechnology, immunology, marine biology, plant biology, etc. Students will have the flexibility to explore other areas such as conservation biology, plant growth, population genetics, bioinformatics and many others.
