The Bachelor of Science in Information Science offers training focused on the use of information technology and the processing of information products as well as the management, retrieval, packaging and dissemination of information. Graduates will be equipped to collect, process, store, retrieve and make available information necessary for the business growth of the organization so as to improve utility and effectiveness in organizations. The program prepares students to create systems and design solutions to meet organizational needs. Technical skills such as information architecture, database design, data analytics, web and mobile development are uniquely combined with the social sciences, design and humanities. Courses covered include Information Resources Management, Information Communication Technology (ICT), Library and Information Studies, Records Management, Publishing and Media Studies, Information Storage and Retrieval, Management of Information Systems and Services, etc. Through coursework, internships and networking, students will build careers that place them in leadership roles in information management, information technology, user-centered design, and data analytics among others.
