Description of the Programme
The Diploma in Agricultural Engineering is designed to train persons in the mechanization and engineering-related fields necessary for increasing agricultural production and processing. The programme aims to ensure graduates are competent in computer-aided technology and mechanization to enhance the efficiency of agricultural operations while providing high-quality products to consumers. The Agricultural Engineering programme covers areas such as soil and water conservation, farm power and machinery, irrigation, agricultural structures, agricultural processing and renewable energy, which are all crucial in enhancing the performance of the agricultural sector. Therefore, the programme has been designed with emphasis on practical approach incorporating the current advancements in technology to satisfy the technical manpower requirements for the agricultural industry.
