Description of the Programme
This programme is designed to equip graduates with skills in animal health and livestock production with emphasis on animal husbandry, forage and pasture management, animal health, disease management and entrepreneurship. The training pays also lays emphasis areas of animal breeds and breeding, reproduction, animal nutrition, animal health and disease management and the animal-environment interaction. Particular attention is given to providing students with the latest technology in animal science some of these will include, artificial insemination, oestrus synchronization, use of farm management software, use of ultrasonography equipment among many others. Students will also benefit from attachments to various industry organizations which serve to provide students with experiences in real work situation.
