Description of the Programme
This programme is designed to give students a comprehensive understanding of human resource functions such as human resource planning (recruitment, selection, placement, and orientation of employees); HR auditing, labor relations; career development and training; performance appraisal and rewards programs; and development of personnel policies and procedures in both public and private sector settings. It is a market driven-course which equips students with human resource managerial knowledge and skills that enable them to respond to the changing demand patterns in the market. The topics of study include human resources administration, recruitment and selection, labour management relations, training and development, organization and management, occupational health and safety, finance and accounting concepts, human resources planning and compensation and benefits. Graduates seek employment in corporate organizations, multinational companies, banks and other financial institutions, manufacturing industries, educational institutions, heath care system and public service among other areas.
