Landscape architecture is the profession that provides landscape design, planning and management services in order to improve and protect natural and built environments. This multifaceted discipline blends design, art, science, nature and culture to achieve socio-cultural, environmental and aesthetic outcomes. The programme allows students to learn technically and creatively via lectures, project site visits, workshops, stimulating lab works, field trips and seminars. The programme will equip students with the intellectual, technical, theoretical and professional knowledge and skills in a studio-based curriculum, incorporating landscape technology, landscape planning and design, professional practice, management in landscape architecture, communication, environmentalism and sustainability. This will enable you to find solutions to landscape planning, design or management problems in the increasingly dynamic and complex situation in the development of our built environment. Types of landscape architectural projects include urban designs, estates, private residential areas, public institutions, regional landscape planning, etc.
