Bachelor of Arts in Design is designed to allow students to advance their creative potential whilst developing key academic skills. It prepares them to think creatively, critically and divergently about the design process. You will gain practical skills and learn how to apply tools and techniques in order to produce high-quality work. You will gain a working knowledge on a wide range of practices from drawing, painting, sculpture and 2D/3D design construction, to photography, digital media and printmaking. In addition, core modules will allow you to gain knowledge and understanding of design theory, history and key contemporary issues. Students learn to appreciate the universality of design, contextualize design problems and blend historical and global perspectives with evolving trends as the foundation for inspired design solutions. The programme places a greater emphasis on design theory and studio courses. The curriculum includes courses like Basic Three Dimensional Studies, Advanced Techniques in Photography, Scientific Illustration, Fashion & Textiles Design, Advertising Design and Media, Advanced Concepts in Communication, Interior Architecture, etc.
