Description of the Programme The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science degree programme is designed to provide a broad-based education for undergraduate students who wish to study environmental issues related to resource use, protection and enhancement of environmental quality. The programme will equip you with the practical skills and theoretical knowledge needed to identify solutions to environmental challenges and play an active role in protecting, managing and restoring our unique environments and natural resources. You will also learn the legal, political and social aspects of environmental management. You will participate in field trips and complete a final-year research project, which includes an environmental impact assessment or an environmental audit. Upon completion of the course, the graduates will be qualified to: Provide advisory capacity services on matters of environmental law and policy; Carry out environmental impact assessment and environmental audit; and Participate and provide leadership in the formulation of appropriate early warning systems of environmental change among other competencies.
